Books I bought this half term (27/03/15 – 12/04/15)

DSC03979

So as you can see, I’ve bought a lot of books this half term. I’ve recently been visiting charity shops quite often and their books are not only extremely cheap but most of them are in good condition. I added up the price of these books and it came to £12.44 and with that money I could only buy one book and there wouldn’t be enough left for me to buy another one and out of all of these 18 books; 3 weren’t bought from charity shops, 3 have cracked spines and most of them look new. I decided that I would stock up on books before the summer as I’m, sadly, not going anywhere which means 6 weeks of staying at home along with some exercise. I’ve basically planned out what I’ll be doing this summer, read read and ever more reading. I’m kidding, I’ll probably be doing some exercise as well since I need it. I’ll probably also be painting as that’s one of my other hobbies. Anyhow I decided to buy a ton of books to read this summer and I am so excited for it! The reading, that is.

In order from left to right and top to bottom.

Empress Orchid – Anchee Min (Part of a five books for £1 deal, Charity)

The Unbearable Lightness of Scones – Alexander McCall Smith (Part of a five books for £1 deal, Charity)

Clockwork Angel – Cassandra Clare (I had a gift voucher from prize giving that I attended recently so it went from £7.99 to £1.99, Waterstones)

Lucy in the Sky – Paige Toon (£1.99, Amazon)

Cherry Tree Lane – Anna Jacobs (It was originally £2 and I thought that was cheap but then when I actually bought it, on the receipt it said £0.06 because they were doing discounts as the shop was closing down, Budgens)

The First Time I Saw Your Face – Hazel Osmond (80p, Charity shop)

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone – J.K Rowling (I got this to complete my set of Harry Potter books that my cousin gave me, it was missing the first book. £1, Charity)

The Haunted – Jessica Verday (80p, Charity)

Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden (Part of a five books for £1 deal, Charity)

Man and Boy – Tony Parsons (Part of a five books for £1 deal, Charity)

Bared to You – Sylvia Day (80p, Charity)

Alice in Exile – Piers Paul Read (80p, Charity)

Since you’ve been Gone – Anouska Knight (80p, Charity)

The Girl you left Behind – Jojo Moyes (80p, Charity)

the Last Letter from your Lover – Jojo Moyes (80p, Charity)

And that was a total of 18 books, I have a lot to do this summer. I may start a new line of blog posts Book reviews. Maybe once every month maybe? I shall think about it.
